Megafill Bio is a low-allergy, light-curing universal micro hybrid composite with a low toxic potential for restorations in the anterior and posterior region. Due to its constant plastic consistency and wide shade selection, the material has excellent processing properties and is very well suited for classic restorati- ve therapy and layering techniques for restorations. Megafill Bio can be polished to a high gloss and thus produces a highly esthetic restoration. Thanks to its high filler content, it is also ideal for voluminous pos- terior restorations that require particularly high stabi- lity and low shrinkage of the material. The matrix of Megafill Bio is free of Bis-GMA, which contains small amounts of BPA and is therefore suspected of having hormonal activity. Furthermore, TEGDMA was elimi- nated from the composition, which has been reported to be allergenic in numerous clinical studies. Megafill Bio thus has a significantly lower allergenic potential than conventional composites. Hydrophobized dental glasses and highly disperse surface-modified silicon dioxides are used as fillers. The surface of Megafill Bio is therefore resistant and protected against accumulations and discolorations. Megafill Bio is radiopaque and fluoresces similar to natural tooth structures under UV light. The homogeneous struc- ture of the material and the selected fillers guarantee the chameleon effect and natural opalescence. The high polishability ensures long-term shade stability and natural aesthetics of the restoration.
